Jomsom Muktinath Trek

Jomsom Muktinath Trek is a marvellous trip, which starts from the Pokhara valley, the place called Nayapul, which is the entrance to the Annapurna region trekking. Starting from the Poon Hill trekking route, it leads you to the Tatopani, Ghasa and trek through the deepest Kali Gandaki gorge to reach the Jomsom and Muktinath. Jomsom is the centre of the Mustang region and Muktinath is the holiest area containing a world renowned temple.

Jomsom Muktinath Treks offer the wonderful experience to visit the places that are popular for the pilgrimage tours. This trekking is rewarding for the lifetime experience to trek through the stunning Himalayan scenarios and the green hill region. Annapurna Conservation Area preserves lush forests of rhododendron, oak and other trees. Gurung and Magar ethnic communities populate the trekking route. It is a lodge trekking so you spend overnight in the local lodges that are neat and provide basic facilities. Natural hot spring is available in Tatopani village. Jomsom and Muktinath are located at higher altitude, so you need to have acclimatization. A large number of religious groups visit this temple every year. It is believed that, Muktinath temple is one of the most holiest temples in this world and due to its worship, the travellers can get salvation. Then you trek to Jomsom and fly back to Kathmandu. Driving is adventurous to Muktinath.

During the trek to Jomsom and Muktinath, you can view the Annapurna mountain sceneries, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail and others. Along with spring and autumn, monsoon is also the best season to trek in Jomsom and Muktinath area.

Day 04 :Drive to Nayapul, trek to Tikhedunga (1491m).

Day 05 :Trek to Ghorepani (2848m).

Day 06 :Hike to Poonhil (3210m), and trek to Tatopani (1190m).

Day 07 :Trek to Ghasa (2010m).

Day 08 :Trek to Marpha (2670m).

Day 09 :Trek to Kagbeni (2800m).

Day 10 :Trek to Muktinath (3760m).

Day 11 :Trek to Jomsom (2750m).

Day 12 :Fly to Pokhara and rest.

Day 13 :Fly/drive to Kathmandu.

Day 14 :Final departure.
